Gates leaks 'Halo 3' release date ... maybe

For all the fanfare about its new video-game console, Microsoft was decidedly quiet last week about one of the biggest questions in the industry: the potential timing of a third installment in its blockbuster "Halo" video-game franchise.

Well, everyone except Bill Gates was quiet about it.

In a cover story published last week in Time magazine, the Microsoft chief software architect was quoted as saying that the company would have "Halo 3" ready by the time Sony releases its PlayStation 3 next year.

"It's perfect," Gates was quoted as saying. "The day Sony launches, and they walk right into Halo 3."

halo 1 was the best of all but i tink halo 3 is gonna be even better but it is only for xbox 360 so that means you have to buy it but who cares

I think that the idea of Halo 3 coming out on Xbox 360 is really a good and a bad idea. Don't get me wrong the graphics will be of the hook. But I'm sure that there are other people out there that dont have to money to go buy a 360. So they should just come out with it on Xbox. I mean you can still play Xbox games on 360 so it still aint that bad.

i HAVE an xbox 360, and YES you can play original xbox games on 360, you just must install a program from xbox.com.

i agree with you totally.the 360 is the future of gaming and sony and nintendo know it.i recently bought a 360 so that when halo 3 comes out i can buy it and play it.so all you other people quit your winning because i am in highschool and dont have a job and i could afford a 360.so if i can all you other people can too

ok if you are in high school and can afford a 360 then you did not pay for it no matter how much you think you did. i am in college and i have a job a pretty good one and i also like to play halo but there are things way more important that i have to spend my money on because i actually have to pay for other things that i actually need so no it should come out on both systems the original and the 360.

i agree it's pretty bad isn't it... hear me out Bungie please make this on xbox normal. So what if the graphics are a bit badder i still want a new adventure because i completed Halo1 in one day and Halo2 in 2 days i really wanna play it please!make it available on Xbox!

You jump higher,dual weild and the warthog is much faster (you can never have too much horse power) you can use the sword blah blah Halo 2 kicks the S__t out of Halo 1.
