Microsoft buys FutureSoft Web filtering software

Microsoft Thursday said it was buying Web filtering software called DynaComm i:filter from FutureSoft. The company also released a generally available beta of the next version of its firewall and VPN product, Internet Security and Acceleration Server 2006, and launched limited customer beta programs for both its Microsoft Client Protection and Microsoft Antigen for Exchange, according to Ted Kummert, corporate vice president for the Security, Access and Solutions Division at Microsoft.
